AUGMENTED REALITY

FACEBOOK CHATBOT

VI used the magic of Augmented Reality to create a rewarding and interactive experience for the Woolworths Rewards Christmas campaign in 2019.

In collaboration with the Facebook Creative Shop, we created an AR filter that allowed Woolies customers to grow their own virtual Christmas tree.  For every 5 virtual trees planted, Woolworths pledged to plant a native Australian tree in real life.

To bring this campaign to life we created:

  1. Facebook Augmented Reality Filter;

  2. Facebook Chatbot;

  3. Facebook & Instagram Ads.

AUGMENTED REALITY

Using Spark AR we developed an interactive Facebook filter that consumers could access directly from their mobile phone. Users were able to plant the virtual tree, water it and watch it grow as it turned into a full sized Christmas tree. Users then had the opportunity to decorate the tree and learn more about the important work that Landcare Australia do repairing the natural environment.

FACEBOOK

CHATBOT

To onboard consumers effectively and tell them more about the campaign, we developed a Facebook Chatbot. This acted as the entry mechanic for the campaign pushing people directly into the Facebook filter, whilst also encouraging them to share their experience socially.

VI produced the creative assets for this campaign that were utilised across Facebook and Instagram to drive awareness and engagement with Woolies consumers.
