For Easter 2020, the VI team developed a fun Instagram AR effect for Bakers Delight on behalf of creative agency, McCann.
The effect was a gamified experience that was designed to highlight how many chocolate chips there are in a Bakers Delight hot cross bun.
Within the effect, users see themselves dressed with a Bakers Delight hat and they can catch the chocolate chips with their mouth as they rain down the screen.
As the chocolate chips flow at varying speeds, users can move their head side to side and open their mouth to catch as many chips as they can. Users that catch 100 chocolate chips win discounted hot cross buns that can be redeemed in stores.
